YEREVAN (Armenpress) — President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan awarded member of the German Bundestag Cem Özdemir and Premier of New South Wales, Australia, Gladys Berejiklian, each with a Mkhitar Gosh Medal.
Cem Özdemir, a German politician of Turkish origin, was awarded for his significant contribution to the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide.
The Mkhitar Gosh Medal is awarded for “outstanding state and sociopolitical activities, as well as for significant services in the spheres of diplomacy, law and political science.
